Fundraising Why does the PTA conduct fundraising activities? Our PTA is an independent non-profit organization with a mission to enhance and support the educational programs and environment at Peter Kirk. To provide the support to our school and children we need to raise money. In order to raise the funds to continue these programs the PTA conducts a variety of fundraisers. Peter Kirk PTA raises funds for over $45,000 programs, equipment, classroom supplies, district “gap” funding and services each year that benefit our students. In addition to our fundraising we collect and manage over $60,000 in direct “pass through” expenses for outside instructors and events under the PTSA umbrella. What fundraisers can I expect this year? Fall Fun Run, Sally Foster Gift Wrap, PACE, Box Tops, Benefit Auction. Details to be added soon. |
