Peter Kirk 2008 “Faces of the Future” Auction was a huge success! _____________ Peter Kirk Carnival Friday, June 6th 5-8 p.m.
We still need volunteers in each class’ booth in one hour shifts, as well as take down/set up. If you haven’t signed up please notify your room parent or contact mmjackson12@verizon.net. Baked goods (cakes, cookies & sweets) are also needed for Cake Walk & Sweet Shop. We need everyone’s help to make this event fun & functional! Jr. High/High School students are welcome to volunteer. All volunteers check in at the volunteer table upon arrival & you will be given your assigned position. Also—cakes & baked goods for sweet shop/cake walk can be dropped off the morning of carnival curbside or delivered to the library.
Help make the carnival greener! Both recycling and food waste recycling will be available at the carnival this year. Located near the food booths and grassy knoll, food waste totes will be available for your leftovers, paper plates, napkins and paper towels. Several blue recycling totes will also be available, and will gladly be accepting your bottles and cans! Volunteers are needed to staff the totes. If you're passionate about recycling, and would like to help others make the right disposal choice, contact Tania Busch @ taniabusch@yahoo.com.
Also….it’s not to late to donate used stuffed animals! Please drop used (and in preferably decent condition) stuffed animals outside the Peter Kirk Office for the ever popular Spin & Win booth.

We want your feedback! We hope that this will be your essential site for all information and events for PTSA with links to Trumba calendar, Peter Kirk School Website and LWSD Website. This current site mostly complete, will be extremely helpful but still under development as we add more useful content. We invite your comments on which additional information to add to the site to make it more beneficial. Our goal for the site is to enhance the level of communication to all parents and members so that no families miss out on opportunities we have available. We also plan to add digital copies of all of the PTSA related forms and announcements that go home in KidMail and provide this site as a place to keep you updated on all of the enrichment that your PTSA provides for our kids. Welcome to the Peter Kirk PTSA website! It’s one more tool the PTSA is giving you to make it easier to stay informed about what’s going on at school – whether you want to know about an upcoming event, you’re looking for volunteer opportunities, or you want to provide feedback on a PTSA program. Throughout the year, this website will be updated to provide the latest information and forms that you need and might have missed from the Friday Flyer, Newsletter or KidMail. We invite every parent, teacher, community member, and local business to join with us in supporting our school and working to improve the health, welfare, safety, and education of our children. We want all kids to feel welcome and supported at Peter Kirk Elementary, at home, and in our community. Making this happen takes everyone’s involvement. Make note of our upcoming family events and social opportunities, and try to attend any that you can. Encourage your children to participate in our before- and after-school Enrichment Programs for languages, math and science, the art docent program in the classrooms. Offer your time and talents in the classroom, at the school, and for PTSA activities. If you haven’t already, become a PTSA member and encourage your family and friends to join also. Support PTSA fundraisers like the fall Fun Run, our primary fundraiser, as well Giftwrap sales, or enroll in PACE or other passive fundraising. Get to know the school and its wonderful staff. Please help us evaluate how we spend our time and resources by completing a survey! The PTSA wants your input so we have prepared both a Parent Input Survey and a Teacher’s Survey. Your opinions are very important and will help shape future PTSA decisions. Please print or download a form below, take a few minutes to fill it out then return to school by Friday, June 13th. Completed surveys can be dropped off outside the office in the PTSA box on the wall or sent back via KidMail.
